Small-group tutoring in Cambridge
Small groups are for students who would benefit from a more social, discussion-based version of tutoring while still getting direct teaching from Dr Henry Sheehy.
This is intended for Cambridge sessions when Henry is there, often meeting in local cafés, especially where students have compatible subjects, levels, and goals.
Why small groups can work well
- students hear different questions and explanations
- problem-solving becomes more active and less isolated
- shared sessions can make study feel more motivating
- discussion can reveal misunderstandings quickly
- it can be a good middle ground between private tutoring and a class
- it can help students who are improving and students already doing well who want the bigger picture
Best fit
Small groups work best when students are close enough in level and goal that the session can stay coherent.
Examples:
- two or three students preparing for related physics or maths exams
- students who want to build confidence with problem-solving
- curious students who enjoy discussion and want to go beyond routine exercises
- friends or classmates who would like a structured study rhythm
Current status
Small groups are available by arrangement rather than as a fixed public timetable.
Send an enquiry with the subject, level, number of students, and when you would like sessions to happen.
